Landing at Tirana Airport? Here is the honest version.
Tirana International Airport — officially “Nene Tereza” (Mother Teresa), universally called Rinas, IATA code TIA — is about 17 km northwest of the city. The official airport taxi charges a fixed €22–23 to the centre; the Rinas Express bus runs to Skanderbeg Square for about 400 Leke; and unmarked cars at the rank are the ones travellers warn about on TripAdvisor for asking double. A pre-booked BlueTaxi sidesteps all of that with a price agreed before you land.
Going straight to the coast or across a border?
You do not need to go into Tirana first. We run direct fixed-price transfers from the terminal to Durres, Vlora, Saranda, Ksamil and the whole Riviera, and on to Pristina, Ohrid, Skopje, Podgorica and Budva. Give us your flight number when you book and the price is locked in — see the routes below.
Is there Uber at Tirana Airport?
No — neither Uber nor Bolt operates in Albania. A pre-booked transfer or a licensed taxi is the way in. We wrote the full guide to ride-hailing in Albania if you want the details.
